As a fifth-generation native to the Evant area, I have a deep rooted love for this community and the surrounding area. I have been an active member in my community and have served on several boards throughout the years.

Before beginning my career in real estate, I owned and operated a small business in town.

In 1979 I earned my real estates license and four years later, after obtaining my brokers license, I opened Burks Real Estate. For the past 40 years I have had the pleasure of serving buyers and sellers in Evant, Gatesville, Hamilton, and the surrounding areas. During this time I have not only gained extensive knowledge of the land and the Central Texas Real Estate market, but have also built good working relationships with lenders, escrow officers, appraisers, and fellow brokers/agents.

I value the work that I do and enjoy helping clients through what can be a difficult time. I strive to always serve my clients with honesty and integrity. With my knowledge and experience I am sure that I can provide you with the resources and tools that you need to feel confident when buying or selling real estate.

As a fifth-generation Evant native myself, I too have a long standing love for Evant and the surrounding counties. I have been an active leader in Coryell County and have served on several boards throughout the years. I received my real estates license in 1981. In 1985 I began a career in law enforcement and was elected Sheriff of Coryell County in 2004. I served in that capacity until retiring, after 32 years, in December of 2016. Throughout that time I maintained my real estates license and began assisting Calvin after my retirement. As a realtor, my goal is to help make the buying and selling process as easy and streamlined as possible for my clients. With my knowledge of the area and the experience I continue to gain every day, I am confident that I can help you reach your real estate goals.

Lindy Burks is a sixth-generation native of the Evant area with deep roots and a passion for growth and service. She graduated from Evant High School in 2014 and continued her academic journey at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she earned her degree in 2018.
Following her education, Lindy honed her skills and commitment to community service by working at the Texas Department of Disability Services. She further developed her expertise in client relations and account management through her role at Choice Medical, and later contributed to the healthcare industry as a dedicated recruiter for three years.
In 2023, Lindy embraced a new chapter by earning her real estate license. She is currently working towards her Texas Broker License, leveraging her extensive background in public service, healthcare, and business to help clients navigate the real estate market with confidence and care.
This blend of professional experience and a strong local heritage uniquely positions Lindy as a trusted advisor and community advocate in the Texas real estate landscape.
